Today is International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia. It is celebrated on this day because it was on May 17th 1990 that homosexuality was removed from the International Classification of Diseases. It's a sad fact that it's only so recently that we have acknowledged that it is something that cannot be 'cured', and an even sadder one that gays, lesbians and transgenders are still so persecuted in some regimes......
